Christmas tradition is the German Chorus Harmonie's annual Weihnachtskonzert. This year's Christmas concert will be Sunday, December 20th, 7pm at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. Join

The German Chorus Harmonie will sing at this year's Volkstrauertag ceremony at Fort Douglas Military Cemetery on Sunday, November 15th.
Volkstraurertag, or The German National Day of Mourning, honors those who have died as victims of war and terror. The holiday has was first observed in its modern form in 1952.
In addition remembering all those who have died in armed conflicts or as the victims of violent oppression, Sunday's event will pay tribute to the German POWs buried at Fort Douglas. You can learn more about the POWs and the memorial dedicated to them in a post at the history blog Keepapitchinin.
