Dinner & Movie Nights

February 1st, March 1st, April 5th (Fridays) at 6:30 pm

Spend your Friday nights enjoying dinner and a movie with us! We will begin with a potluck dinner at

6:30 pm (please bring a dish to share), followed by the movie at 7:00 pm. There is no cost to attend,

however we welcome donations to help cover expenses. We are pleased to present The Sissi Collection,

a trilogy of classic and beloved films centered on the lives of Empress Elisabeth and Emperor Franz Josef.

  • February 1 - Sissi (1955): Young Elisabeth catches the eye of her sister's fiancé, Emperor Franz Josef, and he decides he wants to marry her instead. A free-spirited young girl, Sissi is reluctant to become Empress and take on the responsibilities that come with the role. And within the year, the couple are married.
  • March 1 - The Young Empress (1956): Elizabeth, now married, is learning how to be an Empress. She portrays the charm and sorrows, privileges and tragedies of one of the most beautiful and famous women in the world. But it is all very demanding and her husband is often gone, leaving Sissi alone for periods of time.
  • April 5 - The Fateful Years of an Empress: Sissi’s marriage is struggling and her health deteriorating, yet she is still at her husband’s side when duty commands. When one of the Italian regions is annexed to the empire, the Imperial couple receives a cold, hostile reception. But Sissi, with her natural and unaffected charm, is able to win them over as well.
